根據DIN VDE 0675，Part 6(Draft 11.89)A1，A2的要求，浪涌保護器V 20-C是屬于C級的電涌保護器。它保護電氣設備免受各種電壓浪涌的危害。可提供從單模塊到4模塊的不同型號。

According to DIN VDE 0675， Part 6 (Draft 11.89) A1， A2， surge protector V 20-C surge protector which belongs to the class C. The harm it protect electrical equipment from the voltage surge. It can provide different types of 4 module from the single module.

型號V 20-C/1+NPE（C級）是用于TN-C-S、TN-S、TT和IT系統中特別的浪涌保護器。該保護器是根據DIN VDE 0100，Part 534/A1的新需求進行設計的，并達到簡單、安全的安裝。

V 20-C能夠容易地安裝于任何配電箱或者開關箱內的35 mm導軌上。多模塊保護器的各模塊在工廠里已經由內置接地跳線連接，所以保護器只需要做一次接地（PE）連接。NPE保護模塊C 25-B+C/NPE和底座之間的巧妙設計，使模塊不能被反向插入。這保證了保護器模塊的正確安裝。
